Chairman of the Board of Volvofinans Urmas Kruusval resigns

At the Annual General Meeting of AB Volvofinans on June 21, 2006, the Chairman of the Board Urmas Kruusval announced that he had declined re-election.

The reason for his resignation is that chairmanship of Volvofinans in combination with his position in the Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund may constitute a risk of double loyalties.

During the period in which the owners seek Kruusval’s successor, the owners will alternate as Chairman in accordance with the shareholders’ agreement, beginning with the Volvo Dealer’s Association’s Chairman Sten Brandt.
